Covid Vaccinations at Kirkley Mill now bookable online

Patients registered with GP practices in the Lowestoft area can now book covid vaccination(including boosters 6 months + after second dose) at Kirkley Mill Health Centre in Lowestoft via the NHS National Booking Service. You can book an appointment online at nhs.uk/covid-vaccination or by telephoning 119 (free).

Patients currently eligible for a covid booster vaccination are:

  • all adults aged 50 years or over
  • frontline health and social care workers, including those who work in residential and nursing homes for older adults
  • all those aged 16 to 49 years with underlying health conditions that put them at higher risk of severe COVID-19 (as set out in the green book), and adult carers
  • adult household contacts of immunosuppressed individuals

Housebound patients

GP practices are under immense pressure to deliver ‘business as usual’ primary care services alongside roll out of the seasonal flu vaccination programme.

Where appropriate and possible housebound patients are being asked to seek support from a family member or friend to transport and accompany them to their booster or flu jab appointment. If this is not possible, there are a number of community transport options available:
